Tryooh privacy policy
How Tryooh Music Player handles your data.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Summary
- No account is required.
- Your music files stay on your device.
- Online features are optional and clearly disclosed below.
Data on your device
Tryooh reads audio files, and any lyrics files, stored on your device so it can play them. Your library, playlists, favourites, settings and listening statistics are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded by Tryooh.
Permissions
- Media / storage access — to find and play music on your device.
- Notifications — to show playback controls.
- Network access — used only for optional features such as online lyrics lookup, Chromecast and crash reporting.
Optional online lyrics lookup
This feature is off until you turn it on. When enabled, Tryooh sends the song title and artist name to a lyrics service to find matching lyrics. No other library information is sent.
Chromecast
When you cast, audio is streamed to the device you choose over your local network, using Google Cast.
Crash reporting
To fix bugs, Tryooh may send technical crash reports (such as device model, Android version and the error that occurred). These reports are not used to identify you.
Backup and restore
Backups are saved to a location you choose. Tryooh doesn’t upload them to our servers.
Children
Tryooh doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
